Positive: Beautiful and peaceful. The cottage is very comfy and well equipped. Enjoyed the time off with my dogs. Great to go on walks around the farm and watch the sunrise, sunset and night sky. The host is very friendly

Positive: I loved that the cottage was beautifully finished, pet-friendly, and tucked away in a dirt road 5km off the R62, which made it perfect for a quiet getaway. We enjoyed walking around the farm, passing sheep, donkeys, and a horse, and drove down to the Touw River for a stunning sunset walk. Our dog had an amazing time exploring, which made the stay even more special. The host was thoughtful and attentive, making sure every detail was taken care of for a comfortable visit.

Negative: There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like — everything met or exceeded my expectations.

Summary: A hidden gem offering peace, comfort, and warm hospitality — we would love to return!

Positive: Beautiful little house in a tranquil setting. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. Only the sound of the birds broke the silence. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was super comfortable. It even has a big projector screen so you can spend some time watching your favorite movie after a braai. We really enjoyed the splash pool to cool off in and it made the perfect place for a sundowner. It was also fenced off so will definitely take our dog along next time. Also the flock of sheep who came to drink from the dam in front of the house was so cute. Our friendly host came to check in that we were happy which was very nice. Sunday morning we climbed the little mountain behind the house and was rewarded with the most stunning view. Location is close enough to Waremwaterberg Spa for a day outing or a bite to eat at the famous Ronnies Sex Shop. Cant wait for our next visit!

Positive: Loved being able to relax and recharge at this awesome property while being in the Karoo desert. The house was amazing with everything I needed, from the kitchen to the bathroom and the large living area. The little touches all make a difference to the feel of the place - the large spacious lounge, the beautiful wooden counter tops in the kitchen and the stone floor in the bathroom shower - loved it. In particular I loved the skylight that allowed me to lie in bed and see the stars at the same time! The air feels so clear there. Added bonus was having the dam in front of the house with a small water view, and having the remnants of the old railway station across the road gave me sense of history of the area.
